This past April, I had the pleasure of attending, alongside our director Christopher Woodward, the debut of Badhaus Productions' "Circus of the Absurd." This event marked an exciting introduction to the scene, showcasing the incredible range of talents within the company. From dynamic physical theatre to compelling performances, the showcase highlighted the potential of this emerging group. The talent on display was phenomenal, promising a bright future for Badhaus Productions as they continue to grow and push the boundaries.

At Eternity’s Gate a one-man performance that will be played at Studio Three at the Arts Bar Hope Street as part of a Double Bill. Written by and starring Joseph Winder, At Eternity’s Gate focuses on the life and death of artist Vincent Van Gogh through his brother, Theo’s, perspective. It harkens on the themes of grief, mental health, and familial love.
Featuring an ensemble cast directed by Wayne Stuart-Cole, you will meet the French Resistance as they perform various missions in conjunction with the British Special Operations Executive against the Germans who are occupying Paris, enforcing an 8pm curfew and establishing the Third Reich.

Long-standing community Theatre Company, Imaginarium has been working hard since September to put on a delightfully colourful and bonkers northern and modern twist on Pride and Prejudice. Each character had their distinctive colour and style and we are transported in the first scene to the Bennets` council House bedroom whereby they introduce themselves by singing to us; not unlike the Spice Girls! The whole thing had a lovely upbeat feel. It is a mixture of the Musical Six and the bedroom scene with Sandy and the girls in Grease.
Bev Clark, Has a wide range of experience in theatre she used to run Hand In Hand Theatre from 2008 to 2018, producing numerous large-scale projects on the Wirral. Their performances extended beyond the Wirral and beyond such as Contact Theatre in Manchester, as well as the famous Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford, along with various other theaters across England.

Tomorrow Drifter, set in Liverpool, England, one New Year’s Eve, tells the story of Billy Lowe, an 18 year old who, having just dropped out of university, has been kicked out of his home for the day. He goes to spend the evening with his best friend, Eddie Webster. Eddie, also 18, is a slacker who sits around jobless, smoking weed and playing video games all day long. The play follows the pair as they spend New Year’s Eve together, getting high at a party and confronting some long lost demons that have come back to haunt them both over the past year.
A graduate of both the Liverpool Royal Court and Liverpool Everyman's playwright development programs, he has honed his skills and found success with his works hitting the stages of the city. Winston's full-length play, 'Stand up,' and various shorter plays have all been met with great feedback which has gave him the confidence to keep making great theatre that will make you laugh and cry at the same time.
TAfter graduating with a Drama and Theatre degree, Laura Tellwright worked in Arts Fundraising and Programming, curating shows for world-class venues in Birmingham. She also explored the stand-up comedy circuit, performing at venues like Hot Water Comedy Club, The Comedy Store, and The Frog and Bucket and even winning a roast battle at The Bill Murray Comedy Club. Now a board member at Unity Theatre, she’s excited to be championing local talent. With experience in directing and producing, this February she is stepping into the spotlight with her very own show that she’s written and starring in.
