Homeless Creatives (figuratively, of course)

Over a week ago our world changed dramatically as a result of Coronavirus and recently the government ordered the closure of theatres right across the country. For the creatives amongst us, we find ourselves homeless, unable to express our art in traditional ways, without the supporting structures of regular platforms and venues. But our creative community are fighting back, by bringing lots of material to enjoy online. It’s great to see the lads from the Arts Bar getting stuck into their podcast again with a brand new look, with the added fizz of their newly released quiz night online to keep the brain sharp. These lads are making a bad situation into a good one along with other creatives such as Naughty Corner Productions releasing the bulk of their catalogue online as have we at Likeminded and we have had a roaring response so far - so there’s plenty to get your interest piqued and keep your energy levels revved.

It’s wonderful to see different collaborative groups emerge online such as ‘rapid reel a monologue in minute’ - a well of potential for both actors and writers and an opportunity to cross creative boundaries, create magical worlds that enhance deep passions through shared vision and spontaneous partnerships.

Regrettably, Likeminded has postponed Theatre Addict aswell as other production companies having to do the same thing, but we shall be back once it is safe to do so. We want to take this time to thank you for your continued support. We love you all, please stay safe, be well and we look forward to seeing you on the other side!

To all our creatives keep being creative, passion overcomes everything!

PS. Go wash your fucking hands.
