Theatre Addict: Submission window closed

Thank you to all who have submitted there piece for the Theatre Addict event, it’s been overwhelming. For the past two weeks Ashley, myself and the team have been reading the scripts and we still are. So far it’s been amazing to see so many writers out there. With over 40 scripts submitted we are hoping to announce the featured scripts in the next few weeks. We are very much looking forward to be working with new upcoming talent and likeminded creatives like ourselves to make this a great night of theatre. We are hoping for another successful night at The Hope Street Theatre. We hope to see other creatives, especially big names within our theatre community come and show support for upcoming work, and also to support the Liverpool theatre scene. Nights like these are evidence of the ever growing talent in our city which shouldn’t be ignored, it should be celebrated!

We are not the first production company to do these nights which is great to see, such as Lantern Writers with ‘Boss new plays’. Make sure to show support by getting tickets for their upcoming nights at the Royal Court: (https://liverpoolsroyalcourt.com/whats-on/boss-new-plays/ ) Which over the years has showcased upcoming writers who are now very influential within the theatre scene.  We like Margaret, also want to showcase and give opportunities to upcoming talent.

Like most theatre groups, no one funds us. We do it for the love of theatre and if we can help the theatre community grow in the process then that’s even better. In a way this is why we are so excited for our first ever Theatre Addict event. To do things differently, we’ve decided with every ticket purchased you will automatically be put in our prize draw at the end of the night which features fantastic prizes such as a weekend in the Lake District! Good aye!!

We are hoping this event for our writers is a night to remember and it helps serve as a  building block for future work. Thanks again to everyone for their continued support and allowing us to do what we love. We will announce the writers/productions in the next few weeks.
